peach2320 Posted September 6, 2009 #1 Share Posted September 6, 2009 I just received our Welcome Aboard booklet and on page 15 I noticed you can pre purchase slot credits via a 1 800#. "Turn $10 into $20 in slot play". In the fine print it says the slot credits are for use on designated machines. Has anyone purchased these slot credits? If so, some insight on what the "designated machines" are would be helpful! I'm leaving on the Pearl 10/24 and this pre purchase may be an option for me. Thanks! Richie2pies Posted September 6, 2009 #2 Share Posted September 6, 2009 "Designated machines" are probably real losers.
terrymtex01 Posted September 6, 2009 #3 Share Posted September 6, 2009 We have done this onboard after we got the casino coupon book. Basically it is the type of machine that is the limitation. It has to be a machine that accepts players club cards (and probably a limitation beyond even that) because what happens is you give them $10.00 and they give you a card back that you put into the machines and it has $20.00 credit on it. We have found when we have done this that we could use it in almost any slot machine we wanted to.
WichitaDave Posted September 7, 2009 #4 Share Posted September 7, 2009 Any limitations on this deal? Can I order $200 and get $400? Any particular value of machine they are good on? Never played anything more than a quarter machine in my life, and much more comfortable on the penny machines...a consequence of being poor I guess! peach2320 Posted September 7, 2009 Author #6 Share Posted September 7, 2009 Thanks for all of the replys! I am not kidding about this offer in my Welcome Aboard booklet! This is what it says on page 15! [CASINO GAMING ITEMS FOR PURCHASE Casino Chips/Tokens - Give the gift of good fortune with NCL's table game chips and/or slot credits. Triple Play Chips - Pay $10, Get $15 in Chips - Triple Play Chips stay in play as long as they win, so you get more chances to lure Lady Luck to your side. These chips are good on certain table games. Free Slot Play - Double your dollars on slots. Turn $10 into $20 in slot play. To pre order your gaming items please call our Reservations Dept at 1-800-327-7030, press "3" then listen to the menu or stay on the line for a representative.] I don't play table games so I'm only interested in the slots offer. I'm pretty sure you can't get $100 for $50, as it states in the fine print one per guest, per cruise. I too have the coupon booklet and I also know you can get free slot credits for signing up for the players card. I was surprised about this other option because I haven't seen it discussed on the boards.

UandMe4Ever Posted September 8, 2009 #9 Share Posted September 8, 2009 Hi all. This isn't a reply, but a question with regard to Casino on the NCL Jewel. (First NCL). Months ago when we booked our 10-30 Jewel repo cruise, I signed up on line for Casino at Sea cards for DH and myself. I haven't received anything by email or regular mail. Will they have cards for us when we board or go to the Casino for the 1st time? Not really sure how this works. Any details in advance will be much appreciated. Thanks in advance. It's possible they may be in your cabin although you'll probably have to go to the Casino to sign up. It only takes a couple minutes though. Have a grreat cruise. Thanks in advance. never had the cards waiting in the cabin..have had the cards printed and waiting in the casino on one cruise and had to wait for them to be printed on the next cruise. many times the computer between the land office of CAS and the ship won't work correctly and you may need to redo the signup on the ship. Toyz711 Posted September 8, 2009 #12 Share Posted September 8, 2009 during the cruise, they would run specials...a table would be set-up where you could buy more of the "pay $10, get $15" chips. on embarking, a table was by the main elevators selling the casino specials. during the cruise week, they would make annoucements...usually when they had a sign-up for a tournament.
