Alamo Car Rental

Recommended Posts

Does anyone remember seening Alamo car rental at the Phillipsburg pier? I've found they have 2 locations..its say one is 1 mile from airport (I know this won't be it) and the other is 11 miles from airport (possible???). They have the best rates I have found with a current promotion for 15% off any rental. With an OUTRAGEOUS number of ships in port our day...I want to make sure all our plans are firmly in place as early as possible!!

Be careful of car rental agencies. There are many BAD reviews for Budget, Flamingo, National/Alamo, Premier, Reynolds, Thrifty, Tropical, and Value. Here's one person's experience with Alamo:

(WARNING TO ALL ) We learned at National /Alamo to check under the bumpers as well. Upon return the agent found a bent place under the front bumper. He then called someone (or no one) on the phone and came up with a ridiculous price for repair. I could have bought him a new car in the states and shipped it to him cheaper but your on their terms. CHECK YOUR CAR ALL OVER WITH A FINE TOOTHED COMB BEFORE YOU DRIVE AWAY.
