Lighthouses

Can anyone recommend a tour that allows you to explore a lighthouse in Portland? We don't just want to see the outside - we want to climb to the top!

The only lighthouse where you may be able to climb the tower is the Portland Head Lighthouse http://www.portlandheadlight.com/ . Since an email address is provided, maybe you could question them on hours of operation.

 

As for tours:

There is always a taxi to get you there and back.

 

While looking for tours, I stopped and read here: http://www.lighthousedepot.com/lite_explorer.asp?action=display_details&LighthouseID=128 where it is written that Grounds and Museum only are Open To Public
