Can you still climb on Konulich/Chacchoben?

Trying to decide whether to go to Konulich or Chaccohben. Have read that climbing is not allowed not on Chaccohben, and was still allowed on Konulich. Has anyone recently been who knows for sure if climbing is still allowed on Konulich?

I would like to know the same thing. In addition, we are going to be there February 16th and would like to know if it is safe to travel after dark? We dock at noon and our tour to Kohunlich begins at 12:30 which means we will not return until 7:30pm. It appears that sunset is currently 5:21pm so I am assuming in February it will be around 5:40.

Also it sounds like it is a 2 hour trip each way, so we get about 3hrs to explore. Is this correct?

  • 4 weeks later...

at K the Acropolis and the temple of the masks are available for climbing, both aren't too high.

P5woody: Buses don't go as fast as cars, so it takes over two hours to make it to k, you tour the ruins for about 1.5 hrs, and then back to CM. Driving after sunset is safe!
