'Alpine coaster' added to Labadee

I've been off the boards for a number of years, but glad to be back! Originally from Colorado, and one of the first Alpine Slides was in Breckenridge, CO...back in the 80's. Used in summer months. Two parallel fiberglass tracks used "sleds" with runners and hand brakes, and seated 1-2 people. The driver controlled the speed. You rode a chairlift up (Lift # 8) to the beginning of the track/s, and got on. Sometimes, you could fly all the way down, but most times, you got stuck behind some Summer Snow Bunny (waiting anxiously for verbal attacks...) who not only pulled the brake stick, but also dragged their boots..I mean feet. Back then, it was a real treat, and a real bargain..about $1.50. A real blast, and after a year or so, there were SLOW signs on one run, and FAST signs on the other. Loved it! Guess the $35.00 fee pays for all that imported fiberglass..
