foothill Posted September 12, 2009 #1 Share Posted September 12, 2009 Sailing on the Conquest in November 2009,and wanted to know if anyone has tried the "open seating" dining option and if so are you allowed to make a table reservation if you have more than six in your group. Princess with the personal choice dining option allows reservations.
firefly333 Posted September 12, 2009 #2 Share Posted September 12, 2009 I think you are allowed to ask for the same waiter, but not sure about reservations?? You will seat in the section of the dining room where the other open seating is. Its not like on Princess where one whole dining room is dedicated to open seating, so anyone who books late gets stuck with open dining. Carnival counts the number of folks who asked for open dining and they sit in one upper section of one of the dining rooms. If you are asking for a reservation, seems to be to be not open dining?? But thats just me, I hate it... but I was on Conquest where they did it last May.
Rare Essiesmom Posted September 12, 2009 #3 Share Posted September 12, 2009 OP, you should post this on the Carnival board, where you might find more Conquest cruisers...EM
GORDONCHICK Posted September 12, 2009 #4 Share Posted September 12, 2009 Conquest had two separate dining rooms when we sailed on her a couple of years ago, so one might be designated as open seating and the other traditional (this would make more sense). One was mid-ship and the other aft. But yes, the Carnival board would be a great place to ask this questions, since that's where devout Carnival fans hang out.
