I just read a review from a Med cruise that stated the doors to the deck in front of these cabins was locked for the entire cruise, only open for departure from Rome and arrival in Venice.

Can anyone confirm this, I am booked in L103 and only booked because of the location to the deck above the bridge for port arrival/departures

If these are the OV outside cabins then the doors are open duing port stops and there are lots of people.

The windows are a little lower then the deck so you are eye level with alot of torso's, (if you know what I mean). Don't count on the doors being locked (usually only at sea). This is a very popular place for viewing.

We always book Lido deck cabins. We have never encountered where the doors were locked the entire cruise. They are normally open during sailaways. But, then locked when in open waters. It's way too windy and can be dangerous. I do remember one time when they were locked during a sailaway, but it was pouring down raining. So, I'm guessing the floor is extremely slippery.
