Are taxis readily available at pier in San Diego?

We will need to get to the airport asap. I am hoping that when the ship docks and we get bags, go through customs and when we get outside cabs will be lined up waiting for us. Is that the case? Thank you

It's extremely close. 15 minutes or so depending on traffic.

You could almost WALK it in 15 minutes. It is less than 3 miles.
