Where are all the good deals?

I am looking for a good price on a spring cruise and NCL, Carnival and Princess don't have any really good deals right now. I normally book a cruise for the spring and one for the fall and it seems the prices are high compared to what I normally pay. Are there any great sales coming up soon or are the prices going to keep going up? NCL has the best price for the 3rd person, I priced a Princess cruise and the 3rd person in a mini suite was almost 800.00 and on Carnival the 4rd person was over 500.00. It seems with all of the huge ships being built there would be some good prices out there to fill the ships, especially with the economy the way it is right now, but I can't find them. I guess I am writing this because I am getting frustrated, thanks for letting me vent to some fellow cruisers.

I got a call from my PCC saying that something is brewing, we should know soon about a sale.

Thanks d man, maybe there is hope for me yet. I have searched and searched for the Caribbean for March, April or May and the deals are terrible right now.

I just booked with your online TA during their 9/9/09 - 9/23/09 sale (but it no longer shows as a promo already) which is basically the same but lower OBC (only $50 for a Balcony) and they also offered $100 OBC but when I called and asked them which promo to check since they could be combined but you can only check one and was told even though the website says that, they are not letting them be combined. I was told to check whichever OBC was higher. I haven't gotten my invoice yet to see exactly how much OBC we got. By there promo's it should be $150 but probably will only be $100.00. Just warning everyone in case they don't let them be combined with this one also.

Hmm...it says "no cancellations or rebooks allowed". So if I cancel my cruise that I just booked a month ago and rebook using this "promo sale".....I am not allowed to take advantage??? Seems kind of unfair to me. I did not make my final payment yet so i should be able to cancel and rebook this.

That is how sales are normally conducted...restricted to new bookings only. It prevents "double dipping". The price for your cruise may have been lower when you booked versus what it is now, or you may have received an OBC or other amenity as part of your booking. You can't have the old price/credit/amenities with the new amenities/credit tacked on.

You can cancel and rebook, (and the sale's terms and conditions say that), but your price/credit/amenities would be based on the current price/credits/amenities, not your original booking's.

I just talked to someone at NCL and they told me if I booked now and they have a promotion like this again, then I can rebook.

Yes, you can rebook as long as you have not made final payment, but that does not change the fact that you're going to lose the price/amenities/OBCs of your original booking and substitute those associated with the new promotion. Those are the rules, and if the person you spoke to doesn't think so they are wrong.

Here's exactly what the terms and conditions say:

Guests, who cancel and rebook, must accept this promotion's Terms and Conditions.

Thanks for all of the answers, I called today and got a price only 30.00 off a balcony compared to yesterday and a 75.00 obc, with a deposit of 125 per person. I called the casino at seas after our last NCL cruise which was in April and was told we do qualify for a free cabin of course we would have to pay the fees, but I was hoping we would find a good deal for some friends that want to travel and our grown kids. We just returned from a Carnival cruise last month and it was great (we got an upsell to 2 penthouses), but I have to admit the NCL cruise we took in April was really more relaxing. Again I really appreciate all of the help everyone here gave.
