payment of on board account

Usually you will need to provide a credit card but you can pay cash /tchqs off your bill at any time.

I usually pay off most of my bill the night before disembarkation and this takes away all the issues with exchange rates and charges.

Say my bill is $100 I will pay $105 so that my credit card is charged next to nothing when I leave

Hi dmk, good to see you again:)

I have 2 friends I just sailed with on Mercury and they are

your neighbors;)..they told me they always prefer to pay in cash

rather than a credit card due to the exchange rate stuff.

Hi dmk,

I usually put a credit on my Amex charge card before I leave to cover any extra spending and then

pay my shipboard account with T/chqs, the good thing about t/chqs is that Guest Relations will cash them for free.

That way I don't have to worry about rate differences or foreign exchange charges.
