rbp3072 Posted September 16, 2009 #1 Share Posted September 16, 2009 I just wanted to drop in to give a big T-H-A-N-K Y-O-U!!!! to this site. I was trying to find a cruise to take my mother on for her 60th next year, and had no clue on a lot of things, (neither of us have ever been on one). Thanks to the various posts, (and pics), I managed to make a decision that I think she will be pleased with. 05/10/09, HAL Oosterdam 7 day Alaskan Explorer, SC-5191. I had never even thought of an aft room, but after seeing someones pics from SB-4185, (I believe that's where it was), I knew instantly that's where we belonged. Now to find a way to tell her something has been booked. (She knows it was possibly coming, after all I made her get a passport finally so I could do this). Oh, I guess I need to do the obligatory "Anyone got any pics of SC-5191?" hahaha. Thanks again everyone, I look forward to reading more and learning more as it gets closer. -Robert

dandro Posted September 16, 2009 #4 Share Posted September 16, 2009 What a great son you are! Can I adopt you?;) You (and your mother) will have a fabulous cruise. We did the Alaskan Explorer cruise this past May/early June (on the Westerdam) and loved it!
