shonandsuzie Posted September 20, 2009 Author #79 Share Posted September 20, 2009 I really enjoyed reading your review and looking at the fun pics. I did not see any comments about MUTS...movies under the stars. I thought they had this on the Splendor. If so, did you catch any movies? How was the sound? As you can see, I'll be sailing next month. Looks like have a new drink to try :o They did have MUTS. They also had popcorn for people to buy while they watched the movies which was cool. We didn't actually watch any movies but we did walk past a couple of times while it was playing at night. (When we had to have pizza ;) ) The screen was clear and it sounded alot like a regular movie theater to me. There were usually about 30 people watching. During the day they would have the screen on too. Sometimes they showed concerts or the cruise video. Alot of times it looked like excursion videos or something were up there with no sound while the calypso band was playing. I will say I liked what they were showing wat more than on our Princess cruise. They showed Rocky Horror Show or whatever it's called over and over and over on that one. lol This cruise actually had current movies showing. Rare crewsweeper Posted September 20, 2009 #81 Share Posted September 20, 2009 Thanks for the great review Suzie!!:):) Love your attitude. And glad you didn't have to do the "Time Warp Again" on this cruise. Gonna hope the Dream batenders know how to make BBCs. They sound delish:)

luci Posted September 20, 2009 #87 Share Posted September 20, 2009 Shon and Suzie, What a great review of the Splendor. A couple of questions about your Tequila Tour in Puerto Vallarta. Did you sign up for the tour right where the ship docks? If I remember correctly, there are booths there. And, do you remember the name of the Tequila Factory you toured? We have been on tours in both Mazatlan and PV, but are always looking for different factories to tour. Thanks Luci
cateyes2u Posted September 20, 2009 #88 Share Posted September 20, 2009 Suzie, Thanks for the quick response about Muts. Two more questions: 1. Can you tell me where the Blues Brothers Slot machine is, and is it a coin or dollar machine? (I have a $200 OBC)...I'll use it towards tips, tours, bingo and casino :o 2. Can you recommend a bar that make the best drinks. I really want to try the BBC. Thanks PJ
Sgt. Jeff Posted September 20, 2009 #89 Share Posted September 20, 2009 I miss BBC's so much, I would take one from the worst bartender on board!!! I don't know his name, but there was a bartender that was tall, muscular, short hair, that made a great one!!! I think that he was from Romania. Thanks PJ
They sort of answered already but I'll add: Blues Brothers is right on the edge of the casino and the hallway. We liked this spot b/c it wasn't as smokey. All 3 machines hit the "bonus rounds" a lot which is why we liked them so much initially. I saw a lot of people win on each of them but of course I saw a lot of people lose too. All 3 are in a row. FYI-My particular favorite was the one closest to the hall. Shon hit the jackpot on the middle one. My favorite drink is actually the Mojito. And they have an actual "Mojito Bar". The bartender there made everything very well. ;)So I would think his BBC's would be pretty good too.

There was one white tent set up outside of the gate-up next to the Puerto Vallarta little fountain and sign. It was not near the bunches of booths and tents inside of the fence. They sold tours for $25 and advertised that they do 4 stops (including the Tequila Factory). However, they will personalize the tours for you and do whatever you want. ebonniekins Posted September 22, 2009 #96 Share Posted September 22, 2009
This upcoming cabin is an aft corner cabin with a wrap around balcony. This cabin is really cool!
