jillmom2 Posted March 14, 2010 #26 Share Posted March 14, 2010 I prefer savory crepes versus sweet crepes..more like a light meal..I have had them in Paris and in Quebec City in Montreal Canada near the Chateau Frontenac..The ones I have had have been filled with a seafood and light cream sauce or chicken, mushrooms, ham ..the street vendor type in Paris were not as good as the sit down restaurant... When I have ordered a sweet crepe it has usually been a chocolate hazel nut with sliced bananas andwhipped cream type..delicious!!!
angiemom Posted March 15, 2010 #27 Share Posted March 15, 2010 I like savory crepes. I tried and liked the mushroom crepes served in the Compass deli on RCI's Majesty. Off the ship, I like ham and swiss.

BroncosFan2010 Posted April 22, 2010 #29 Share Posted April 22, 2010 On RCCL's Serenade they had fresh made crepes every afternoon. They offered different stuffing and toppings. My favorite was the chocolate and caramel, to which I added strawberries. They also had a chocolate cherry. It was very good. They had some savory crepes as well, and I loved the cream cheese with tomato and basil. YUMMY!
cloudshoveller Posted May 2, 2010 #30 Share Posted May 2, 2010 The French crepes I had were made from a darker flour, they were a nutty brown in color. They were filled with savory ingredients like crab and bechemel sauce or ham and mushroom with a gratin cheese mixture. The crepe was then folded into a triangle shape and put into a sort of parchment "cone" to eat out of. Oh! I can practically taste them right now...divinely good!:p
