Jevsy Posted September 18, 2009 #1 Share Posted September 18, 2009 Hi, we are staying overnight at the Marriot airport hotel after flying into Miami. Sailing out of FLL the next day, am I right in thinking that the best way of doing this trip would be with SAS transportation? My clever husband booked a stay n sail package which included room, breakfast and transportation to the Port not thinking that they probably meant Port of Miami? Mmm
TrentS Posted September 18, 2009 #2 Share Posted September 18, 2009 First of all I'd book an other MIA airport hotel if you want an MIA airport hotel. That old Marriott is not a very good place to stay for a number of reasons. BUT only book an airport hotel if you're arriving late in the evening, otherwise you would be much better off staying in Fort Lauderdale if your cruise is leaving from Port Everglades. SAS works FROM Fort Lauderdale, but FROM MIA the shuttle service is SuperShuttle... http://www.supershuttle.com/Miami_airport_shuttle.aspx

Why do you say it's not good? I'll look at the shuttle service you mention with my hub when he's home thank you.

The neighborhood isn't the greatest either. And if you booked a stay and sail package it would be transportation to Port of Miami, no Miami hotel will shuttle you to Ft Lauderdale, so no point in paying for something you can't use. If you want an MIA airport hotel the following are nicer hotels in a far better location...
