Grand Cayman Excursions

Hi,

My husband and I are new to cruising and one of our ports on our cruise scheduled in October will be Grand Cayman. Can someone tell us how long it takes to get to Stingray City from the Royal Caribbean pier? We are hoping that we will have time to snorkel at the beach after the excursion. Is Cemetary Beach within walking distance from the pier? Any recommendations anyone can make for nice snorkeling (novice/intermediate level)? I have been reading so much stuff and am getting overwhelmed!:o

Most stingray city excursions include at least one snorkeling stop. It is probably about a 1/2 hour ride to the stingray city marina from where the ships come in depending on traffic. Cemetery Beach is not close to the pier. If you want to snorkel near the ship your best bet would be Eden Rock. There is no beach there but the snorkeling is very good.
