attitudeda Posted September 20, 2009 #1 Share Posted September 20, 2009 I believe the EOS is going into dry dock on Jan 3, 2010. Are there any plans to stretch her or make her into a Freedom class ship.

Also, I think a stretch operation would take a little more than the 9 or so days that EOS will be in dry dock.
BND Posted September 20, 2009 #3 Share Posted September 20, 2009 This is just a standard drydock time. I'm hoping for new flat screen tvs' and I assume the usual other upgrades. "Stretching" a ship is cutting it down the middle and inserting a new section. Just the cutting operation would take at least a week. Do you have any reason to ask or are you just hoping for some reason? I think Explorer is big enough.

The reason I asking is that my my-in law is on the ship now and was talking with the Capt. who told her they were stretching into a Freedom class ship. I said there no way it can be done in 9 day. But when your dealing with a 70 year old woman. What can I say.
