Willymakeit Posted September 24, 2009 #1 Share Posted September 24, 2009 We are staying 3 nights on Santorini after Cruising the other Greek Islands. When we fly from Canada to Athens we are allowed 30kg of luggage each but when we fly from Santorini back to Athens, they only allow 15 kg. How can they only allow 15 kg for inter island flights especially for tourists. I know pack light. Any ideas. Has anyone heard of this? D4 Posted September 25, 2009 #2 Share Posted September 25, 2009 Unfortunately that is common for many of the European carriers, especially the lower priced ones.
CintiPam Posted September 25, 2009 #3 Share Posted September 25, 2009 Yes, severe weight restrictions are common on these smaller carriers. I suggest that you consider storing some of your luggage in Athens at your hotel there. They are used to keeping luggage while tourists go on to the Greek islands.
