Bradleycruiser Posted September 28, 2009 #1 Share Posted September 28, 2009 Does anyone know if there is a reasonable running track on the Oosterdam? How many laps per mile? Any information would be appreciated.
Krazy Kruizers Posted September 28, 2009 #2 Share Posted September 28, 2009 Welcome to Cruise Critic. The Oosterdam uses the Promenade Deck for the running track as well as for the walkers. Sorry -- I don't remember how many laps for a mile.
brucory Posted September 28, 2009 #3 Share Posted September 28, 2009 On some of the ships there are signs that say "no jogging" on the promenade deck. Not sure which, but I recall seeing it... :D:D:D
seaproponent Posted September 28, 2009 #4 Share Posted September 28, 2009 Just got off the Maasdam -- all R & S class ships apparently don't allow running on the Prom. deck as there are cabins below. However, it's okay to run it on the Vista class -- 3 laps to the mile as I recall.
billroddy Posted September 28, 2009 #5 Share Posted September 28, 2009 It was on the Amsterdam on my Sept 12, cruise, but the Prinsendam deck plan does show a jogging track. hoopman Posted September 28, 2009 #7 Share Posted September 28, 2009 I ran 3 miles (9 laps) several times on the Oosterdam during our Mediterranean cruise. Runners and walkers but never very crowded. I never saw more than 8 walkers or runners.
