Can you buy a bottle of booze when you get on?

I'm sailing the Sky this weekend, kind of last minute so I didn't have the time to request a bar setup...which I did last time and loved having a bottle in my room. Does anyone know if I can just request a bottle be sent to my room when I get on board?

Agreed ... They dont charge the same price as the bar set-up pre cruise . Your best bet is to put a fifth in your checked bag and hope for the best ;).

But its only Monday you can try the set-up . I've seen them done in less time..

Its not a published offer. If you know what you want , you can email . Here groupeventpearl@ncl.com , but you need to reaplace Pearl with the ship name you will be on . ;) Do a search at the top of the page , theres A lot of info .

I wonder if your travel agent could make it happen for you last minute, or if you just called NCL. It's worth a try to ask, but who knows.

 

Also, of course you can bring at least a case of nice wine and pay the $15 corkage per.

I agree with everyone's advice. I've read where NCL accommodated a very last minute bar setup order. Good luck, OP and have a great cruise.

"Bar set up" is a little misleading. Basically it is a bottle of booze, nothing more.

i emailed but got no response. i also cant find any info via the search. i will try caling but i find that the customer service reps don't always have acurate info.

mgmigs - What email address did you use? I usually get an auto-response and then another response from the event coordinator a day or 2 later. He/She will answer your email according to your sail date. I would try to email again.

 

If you do call NCL, ask for the group event coordinator for your ship.

As discussed earlier in this thread, it would be expensive. Also, the OP was able to get a bar setup last minute, so ordering a bottle while onboard is now not necessary.

I called my CC at NCL and he was able to order my bar setup for me.

Based on the prices listed above, I did a little number crunching...

 

Let's say you wanted a bar setup to make margaritas (assuming you carry on the margarita mixer and salt...)

 

So key ingredients would be Tequila - $63

and Grand Marnier - $83

for a total of $146

 

At the rate of a normal strength drink, in a normal glass... figure 30 drinks (accounting for spillage/overpouring)

 

So total cost for a drink in this case would be about $5 per margarita... which is a little over half the going rate ...
