Is there a "don't miss it" site for snorkeling along the keys?

My friends and I are doing a few days in the Keys of Florida before our cruise in Nov. We will be diving in Marathon. Does anyone have any great snorkel sites to recommend in that area? Thanks.

For snorkeling, north to Key Largo for John Pennecamp or south to Looe Key which is also a good dive. Those are not really in the area, but I don't know of a good snorkel spot at Marathon.

just so you know - most good snorkeling and diving in the keys is going to require a boat...nothing really great from shore.

Pennekamp area is the most popular in the upper keys with boats heading out to the Mollasses area.

Lower Keys I'd recommend Looe Key

There's plenty of other areas around Marathon and Islamarada but as I said .... not really from shore acess ....

One exception can be Bahia Honda State Park
