Price Drop

you dont get offered price drops .you have to keep checking on carnival web site and watch price.as far as upgrades sometimes a higher grade cabin is available at price you paid for lower grade and you can upgrade to that for the lower price . i think this is correct if not it wont be long before they correct me

Nothing to do with time of year. For instance you are booking in a 1A, and the prices drop and now the OVs are the same price as you paid, so you can ask to be upgraded to a OV. The 1As are sold out, so I cant price match ... but I can upgrade.

 

Each booking is different so what you are checking for might be different. I do a mock booking every day checking prices.
