I've always called the first course at dinner Appetizer and have called those nibbles with have with drinks before dinner hors d'ouerves. Did that change? I don't know -- any time we have been in one of the bars before dinner -- someone always asks us if we want any appetizers. That is strange -- know what you are talking about.
