Dress for Chops

In the menu hanging outside chops, it says dress suggestion is smart casual...

Dockers and a golf shirt would be fine.

I disagree with hdawson. We've eaten at Chops and/or Portofinos on each of our RCCL cruises and we did not see many men in the restaurants were wearing jackets. Most men wore slacks with button down shirts or golf/polo shirts. Even when it's formal night in the main dining room, the dress code in Chops and Portofinos is still smart casual. If you want to wear a sports coat, great, but most don't in our experience.

I agree with the observation about jakets in Chops and Portofinos. We at in both on our Radiance cruise in March. I would say, at most, 50% of the men wore sport coats. The rest had on golf shirts or open-collared dress shirts. There was the occasional tie, but they were usually celebrating something!

....."Even when it's formal night in the main dining room, the dress code in Chops and Portofinos is still smart casual.".....

Not in my experience. The last few times we have dined at either Chops or Portofinos on formal night, "formal" attire was requested, not "smart casual".

Only input....each time we went to Chops....nice shirt for men (dressy but not formal).....and slacks...not jeans....women....dress slacks and nice blouse is more than enough. Polo shirts abounded each time!

The first time my husband wore a shirt, tie, coat only because the other guy did and it was a "special" night!
