Stateroom Telephone

Not sure what you are asking?

The stateroom telephone is mostly used for calling other staterooms, room service, Guest Services or setting up a wake up call. There are no minutes involved in those phone calls.

I am sure most people would turn on their cellphone to call home as it is a cheaper rate than the ship-to-shore fee.

Ditto!

NEVER to actually call someone on land! I can't think of anyone I want to talk to $7.99 a minute worth!:p

A couple of years ago one of my travel mates had to use the stateroom phone on multiple occasions to call a friend 'ship to shore' who was taking care of some things for her at home. We thought it might be a hassle, but it was very easy. I think it cost $6.99/minute. But, now, we just use our cell phones---much cheaper.
