Arcade Prices

We are going on the Dream 9/18/2010 and have 3 couples coming with us with kids.They are first time cruisers and one of their questions were what is the price range in the arcades. Can someone help answer this I never used them no need to. Thanks in advance

My experience with the arcades on Carnival is that they is no real bargin. Usually .50 - 1.00 per play. On the ships I have been on many games are broke and or out of order the entire cruise and there is missing games in the spaces designed for them. It is something that really lacks attention by Carnival. To bad because you always see many people come in and give it a look...

I do remember an old "missile command" on the Legend a few years ago, and it was only .25........

I cruised the Triumph 9 months ago, and the arcade there was full of games that all worked, except for one machine that ate my coins so I told a casino staff neer by who told someone else that gave my money back and it worked the next time. The prices are not the greatest, $.50-$1.00, but If you have an extra 5-10 dollars, it's worth it.

We are about to go on our 4th cruise and our twin boys were 8 the first one and about to be 13 now. We spend alot of $$$$ in the arcades. Why I have no idea since we have 3 xbox 360's at home they play nonstop.:rolleyes:

The games range in price but most of the good ones are $1 per play unless you get a free "continue". The Ecstasy did have a claw machine filled with stuffed animals that was tight most of the cruise but on the last sea day it was so easy to win! The machine was empty at the end of the day. Of course that ended up being a ctn so maybe staff did that on purpose. Anyway, on the Conquest (7 night) our kids spent $400 in the arcade!:eek:

i'm an 80's kid...i love the old arcade games....but is the arcade only for kids? or can "big kids" like me go in there too?

 

missle command! Pac Man, Ms Pac Man, Gyrus, Galaga etc...any old games like those still around in any of the ships?

 

i know missle command was a few years ago as the above post states...what about currently?

 

i guess it doesn't matter what games are in there if i can't go in. lol:confused:

DD said they were between .50 and 1.00 on the glory this summer. I really wasn't impressed with it but they were able to spend about $10 each visit :eek:

The arcade is open to any age, but mostly children. If you go when it is not busy (it isn't busy very often), then you will be fine.

so i'd be the biggest kid there lol! and that's okay....did you happen to notice any older folks games like frogger, ms pac man etc?

I have seen a sign in the arcade on the Paradise where they do limit a child's tokens to $20 per day. The sign also said that a parent could adjust this amount.
