Pacific Whale foundation tour

Can anyone tell me if it is necesssary to reserve this tour in advance, or if you can just walk up and pay for it when we arrive at the dock. We will be on a POA cruise in Maui in Feb.

I would reserve in advance, very popular with both cruise and land-based vacationers and for good reason;)

If you are doing the Molokini tour....I think that NCL uses the PWF for the tours.

I would book in advance if you really want a particular tour. We have used them several times and each time it has been a fully booked tour, or nearly so.

FYI - I booked PWF yesterday for my cruise in February and when you book early online, there is a discount. Every penny counts!!!:D

If it is something that you really want to do, you need to book in advance. If you don't care if you miss it, you can wait.

Does anyone know if NCL uses PFW for their whale watching tour in Maui? If not, where does PFW tours orginate in relation to where POA will be in port, i.e., what form of transportation would I need to arrange to get to and from ship??

I am not sure if you can book through the ship or not. We booked directly with PWF: children 12 and under free when you book through them. We would have paid for her with NCL.

 

We have a car rented for both days on Maui so will just wake up early the second day, jump in the car and drive to Lahania. The NCL pier is on the other side of the island from where the snorkel trips leave from. 45 minute drive probably. A cab will be too pricey.

For whale watching, we chose to go with Roberts (gorabbit.com) and it was great.

 

For any whale watching you probably should book in advance with whoever you decide. Whale watching is very popular during the "season."
