where2next4me Posted October 20, 2009 #1 Share Posted October 20, 2009 Hi Can anyone recommend a good beach for swimming & relaxing with my family? West Bay? I want something that is not hard to get to from the cruise ship dock with a gorgeous beach & some water activities (food & bathrooms would be ideal) CRUISE DEALS 2010
Cruzin Terri Posted October 20, 2009 #2 Share Posted October 20, 2009 Hi Can anyone recommend a good beach for swimming & relaxing with my family? West Bay? You should ask the taxi driver to take you to Royal Palms. They have chairs for rent, a restaurant, watersports and facilities. You can rent watersports equipment right there from Red Sail Sports. I have a timeshare right down the beach from there and it is very nice. Terri
TheWog Posted October 20, 2009 #3 Share Posted October 20, 2009 My suggestion would be Sea Grape or Courtyard beach. Food, drinks, facilities, chairs/umbrellas for rent, jet skis, water ski, banana boat, parasailing, etc., outdoor shower, taxi stand waiting to return you to town. About 10 mins from the pier and about $5 pp each way. We had a great time there. Good luck.
jean-lynd Posted October 21, 2009 #4 Share Posted October 21, 2009 If you want to check out the beach at the Reef Grill/Royal Palms they have a couple of webcams on their website at http://www.reefgrill.com. Sea Grape and Reef Grill/Royal Palms offer pretty much the same amenities. The Reef Grill/Royal Palms is a couple of miles closer to the pier. I hope this helps! Enjoy!
