Anyone parked at Crowne Plaza Miami Airport?

I've found a good price for parking at this hotel (sub $10/day) and I'm curious if anyone has parked here for a cruise since they built the new parking facility. I checked it out using google street view. It appears to be fully fenced and has a a gated exit (little booth with a boom-arm gate) I have heard the area isn't so great so I'm just wondering if anyone has any first hand experience parking here.
