We are looking at Crown Princess' Sept 3, 2010 TA, Southampton to New York. Has anyone opinions on taking AerLingus from BOS to London? They seem to have a better schedule than some others.

Thanks, Steve

Certainly there are certainly some advantages of flying EI/Aer Lingus;

  1. You have your choice of London Airports. Personally I think LGW/Gatwick is easier than LHR, given the direct train from LGW to Southampton Central.
  2. You can have a free stopover in Dublin for up to two weeks.
  3. You can skip the EI portion DUB-London, and book a BE/FlyBE ticket DUB-SOU/Southampton instead of transiting through London

If you do book Aer Lingus all the way, make sure it's on a single ticket, as otherwise you'll pay for luggage on the DUB-LGW portion.
