Tendering in Belize

I've read about tendering in Belize but my cruise documents state that this is not a tender port. Have they opened the new pier yet? We sail end of November.

The pier is not open yet. They say it will be open late this year or early 2010.

My documents on our 12/27 sailing aboard valor have it as a non-tender port! WOo hoo!

Reports from tour vendors and the lack of responses from the pier authority seem to indicate that it isn't anywhere close to being ready.:(

Good luck to you as I found the tenders to Belize to be the pits!!:( One would think with all the money that Carnival has, that they could have better tenders than these!!! They are small and made me wonder if we would ever get to shore in this thing. I nearly tossed my breakfast from the terrible ride over. But since I was looking green, the other people on the tender left me off first!! On the way back, we waited for a bigger tender which are far and few to be found!! We did get one. But I will not go back on that tender again and would have been wiser to have stayed on the ship!!

Belize is one of our stops on our cruise aboard the Triumph during the week of December 19th, and is listed in our cruise documents as a tender port...

We have been on the tenders 2x's, and I do not believe Carnival owns the tenders, they are from Belize. Both times I thought the ride was cool because you went so fast ans splashed around in the water, it was like a speed boat ride. when you tender to Princess Cays they use their life boats, that is really a ride.
