ladyd11933 Posted October 29, 2009 #1 Share Posted October 29, 2009 I am trying to narrow down my cruises for Spring Break next year. Glory - Belize, Cozumel, Grand Cayman, Isla Roatan (went last year to the first 3 on the Valor) Liberty - Half Moon Cay, St. Thomas, San Juan, Grand Turk (have been to St. Thomas and San Juan a few years back) The past two cruises we have gotten an inside and a balcony for the four of us (two teenage boys). If we choose the Glory that is what we will get, if I choose the Liberty it will have to be 2 insides due to the price difference of the balcony. I would miss my balcony but if the itinerary and ship are worth it then it won't bother me. I guess my question is that I have heard great things about Half Moon Cay - is this itinerary worth it even if I have to do an 2 inside cabins? Will this route have enough port activities for the 2 teenagers, or is it more about laid back beaches?
susanf31 Posted October 29, 2009 #2 Share Posted October 29, 2009 Ohhh...that's a really hard question!!! THose are both great iteneraries!!! I've done both of them. LOVED Roatan and Belize. Mexico...not so much. If this helps, we just sailed on the Liberty to the Eastern Caribbean. I picked the cruise because it had the Half Moon Cay stop. But, due to bad weather that day, we didn't get to go, we went to Nassau instead. So maybe it's not such a good idea to book a trip counting on Half Moon Cay. BaseballMomof4 Posted October 29, 2009 #3 Share Posted October 29, 2009 Haven't done an Eastern yet but we are sailing the Glory in December and are really looking forward to Belize (cave tubing) and Roatan (custom tour). We have already been to Grand Cayman and did the Hell, Turtle Farm, Stingray Swim tour and LOVED it! This time we are just going to "wing it" in GC. We have also been to Cozumel before (Beach Break Deluxe was a blast) and are going to Xcaret (for the second time) this time. If you have not been to Xcaret you should really check out their website, there is something for everyone there. Looking forward to doing an Eastern next cruise!
