Questions About Grandeur

We have been on 2 Royal cruises and have loved both of the ships. Voyager and Independence. We are traveling on the grandeur this February and this will be the first time on a smaller class ship and I was just curious how people have liked this ship compared to others?

I love this ship (and this class of ship). The ship has a great crew that treat you great. I love the centrum where you can look out at the water and enjoy the music at the same time. That's what I missed most on the Mariner. For me (personal preferance) the Royal Promanade was so dark and smokey I had trouble. For me the smoke coming out of the bars and up out of the casino gave me a headache. I also missed not being able to see the water from anywhere other than the pool deck. I'm not one that uses the golf course or any of the aminities of a larger ship so they were lost on me. I'm leaving on Thursday for my 15th cruise on this ship. We're sorry to see it leave Baltimore after this season. I can't say enough good about it.

Just back from Grandeur, today! She's a beautiful ship with a great crew. The food was very good to excellent in the MDR. Windjammer food was good. We sailed with the ship full, but it only felt crowded for the shows in the South Pacific lounge. No problems with lines in the Windjammer, which is laid out very nicely. The bigger ships seem to be more crowded. We loved the Solarium, absolutely no chair hogs! As PJLee said, you can see the ocean from many decks. They had smoke free times in the casino.
