Difference between Drink Gift Cards and Drink of Day Card?

Delta Dear

Recommended Posts

I want to build up OBC and drink credit ahead of time so I just ordered one of the Sets of drink coupons from the Carnival site as well as putting money into my OBC account.

I know there will be a Drink of the Day card offered when we board. Is there a difference in price toward each drink and is there a different choice of drinks dependind on which you use ?

I'll be on the Legend on Feb. 7.

The DOD cards are more limited, but probably a better value. On any given day, you can use your DOD card to get that or any other day's DOD. However, if you want a Mojito or some other drink that has not been the DOD, the card but won't do you any good but those coupons you ordered in advance will come in handy. Hope this helps.

Just came back from the Ledgend and had the bar coupons that were great. Although some times my DH Pina Colada were an extra $1.73 other than that Mamosas and bloody mary did not charge any difference. I also added to OBC so my bill at the end $100.30 which was mostly things we bought from the gift shop. Will do it for the Dream in Feb. Enjoy!!!

If you are building up on board credit why bother with drink coupons? We used coupons one time and for us trying to remember to take them, to the pool then in the evening etc., then use them was a pain. The savings is not that significant so we just put cash on our account and use the S&S card. Just my thought.

If I understand correctly, the DoD card isn't always available.

Well, I for one sure hope it is on the Triumph when we go in Jan.

It would be really nice if they had some sort of thing set up where you

could just have "open bar" the whole cruise for one set price.
