Wine Packages prices - trying to see if cheaper in dollars or pounds?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Does anyone have the current wine package prices in dollars including the gratuity added if possible?

I want to book the 7 bottles for our cruise on the Mariner in 3 weeks and as I'm from the UK the prices for pre-booking are in pounds. With the current exchange rate, I'm trying to work out if it would be cheaper waiting and paying for it in dollars when we are on board

Uk Prices are as follows (inc gratuity)

gold - £114.47 - works out at £16.35 a bottle

Plat - £125.34 - works out at £17.90 a bottle

Thanks everyone

I just purchased the 7 bottle (platinum package) for $198. That is including the 15% gratuity. That comes out to $28.29 a bottle, with gratuity. A bottle of wine onboard the ship is more than that, without the gratuity.

That makes £17.67 a bottle using 1.6 as the rate vs £17.90

If the rate gets stronger then definitely worth waiting till on board.

Also bigger savings if you buy more bottles ;)

The prices are based on the exchange rate, so what you want to do depends on what you think is going to happen to the exchange rate.

Thanks for all the prices.

It seems the UK prices have been hiked up recently as my cruise enhancements show they are more expensive (in UK pounds) then what Albert has provided.

Gold 7 is £99.54 not £94.80.

Decided to wait till I am onboard to book the package I want in Dollars as seems will be a slightly better deal.

Thanks all
