Port Canaveral on Pride 12/13 sailing

I will be sailing on the pride in about a month. I was looking at going to Cocoa Beach for the day. I have not had much like finding info about it, and I had a few questions. Is this a good beach to go to, and what is the best way to get there?

There are excursions from the ship to take you there OR you can take the shuttle once you get off at the pier.

Keep in mind it's going to be chilly there in December.

There is a $5 pp shuttle to Cocoa Beach (each way). Where the pier is, to me its a nice public beach. I think you would like it.

 

I would call and make prior arrangements or go to east coast departures and the thread, I work in Port Canaveral for more info.
