Wife and I were feasting on Peking duck in Eike Batista's Mr Lam restaurant when the lights went out (while he was out and about wth Madonna). As a result they could not serve dessert, but as we were the beneficiaries of a two for one Amex special it didn't matter. We did have to walk up 6 flights of stairs in the dark when we got home. Burned off some of the duck.

Thanks for the link Owl. Interesting that Rio looks to Barcelona as a model for cleaning up their act pre-Olympics. Guess they didn't read the recent TripAdvisor petty crime survey! Nevertheless, I wish Rio nothing but the best going forward.

ohh , I do love Peking duck . Mr. Batista / Madonna...odd combination! I wasn´t aware that he owns Mr. Lam´s.

Luckily , we didn´t have any stairs to climb . I am just glad I wasn´t in an elevator.
