wrmwthrgrl Posted November 16, 2009 #1 Share Posted November 16, 2009 Hi Everyone! I will be flying into the Long beach airport for a Carnival cruise in January. I have never flown into this airport before and am curious what is available for transportation. Are there usually taxis sitting and waiting there, or do I have to pre-arrange for transportation? Thanks for any comments and suggestions!
crzndeb Posted November 16, 2009 #2 Share Posted November 16, 2009 I just flew in and out of this airport a couple of weeks ago...there are shuttles and taxis right outside. The airport is about 11 miles from the cruise terminal (I stayed in LB 2 nights prior), and the cabs will run roughly $20, give or take a couple of bucks. gargoyle999 Posted November 16, 2009 #3 Share Posted November 16, 2009 We fly into there last Nov. There were taxis waiting, no problem. It is a tiny tiny airport. One luggage carousel that is outside (but covered). On the way back the cab dropped us off and it was about 10 steps to the counter to check in..ha ha...but very convenient due to it's small size. One problem though was one of my suitcases didn't show up upon arrival in Long Beach. No one was at any of the 3 or 4 counters after we arrived. No one really around much at all actually except the passengers. Anyway, finally found someone to find someone to come out and help me. Otherwise the small size made it really nice.
