Group Cruise Communication Question

Does anyone have any suggestions for communicating with fellow group members. We are going on the Carnival Victory in March with several families from St Croix and we are looking for suggestions for being able to communicate with everyone. I know cell phones would be international roaming. What have other groups done? Thanks.:)

You make a general "plan" for the day...and if the plans change, leave notes either on the door of the cabin or in the cabin.

In reality, the "public" areas of the ship aren't so large that finding others will be a problem! Most of the ship is taken up with passenger cabins...you won't be roaming hallways where your cabin ISN'T! That really cuts down on the size of the "searching" area!

So, tell your group, "At noon, I'll be at the pool. If I'm not there, call the cabin, or check the casino"....it works! And plan to meet for meals...you'll certainly find each other there!

Pick a general area by the pool on day 1. That way, whenever someone heads to the pool they know where to look for the group. There's almost always someone from our group at the pool and they usually know who's coming and going.

We also take magnetic white boards for the outside of our cabin door. We'll jot where we're going in case anyone from the group wants to meet up with us.

Most importantly - be sure to do what YOU want without worrying too much about the group. You'll usually run into people from the group anyway but this way you're in control of your own fun.
