Info for Astoria, Nanaimo, and Victoria

Recommended Posts

Here is some information I have gathered for my upcoming Pacific Costal cruise on the NCL Pearl April 24 2009

Hope this helps. :)

FYI both Astoria and Nanaimo have online brochures of their communities that are very helpful.

The trolly in Astoria will be running the day we are there; it's $2.00.

I think this looks like fun. Visit their website @ http://www.wildplay.com The total cost would be about $85 US.

Hi Diane,

Thank you for your interest in our park! Currently NCL cruise ships has not

made any reservations on April 30th. Usually guests wishing to come to the

park book individually.

The Full Monkido Aerial tree course ($39.99+tax) takes approximately two

hours to complete. The Canyon Zip ($24.99+tax) take approximetly 30

minutes.

If you were interested in coming to the park we recommend that you use the

Nanaimo Shuttle Service. It is approximately $10 each way.

The contact at the shuttle service is Randy and he can be reached at

250-619-9297

We suggest that you book the shuttle in advance, because it can fill up

quickly.

If you have anymore questions or would like to book a reservation please

feel free to call us at 1-888-668-7874. To make a reservation we do require

full payment to be made.

Sincerely,

Bri Vojnovich

Hello Diane,

Thank you for your interest in Prince of Whales Whale Watching. We will be

doing

whale-watching during the time that you will be here. At that time of year

the trips are based on demand. We need a minimum

number of people to send the boats out - 6 for the open zodiac-style boat

and 20 for

the large Ocean Magic covered boat. If there is a time that day you would

like to go we

can start a trip on that day, otherwise I would suggest giving us a call

a few days before you arrive in Victoria and we may have a better idea of

which trips

have been confirmed.

The rate is $95+tax pr. adult, $85+tax pr. student/senior and $75+tax pr.

child

If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to contact us.

Sincerly,

Marianne,

Prince of Whales Whale Watching

You may find more info/reviews about the Nanaimo WildPlay facility under their old name "Bungy Zone". Looks like you'll be too late in the year though for the annual naked Bungee weekend http://www.bcss.org/2009/01/calendar/events/3rd-annual-naked-bungee-jump-for-schizophrenia/
