Ritz-Carlton Isle Verde

We stayed here while attending a wedding 2 years ago. The grounds and pool were absolutely beautiful and it had a nice casino. The food was really expensive. You just walk out through the pool to the beach. I really miss sitting out at the pool in one of those lounge chairs with the flag on it. You just put your flag up and the waiter would run over with a pina colada. :D

We stayed there in October and the casino payed off bigtime on our Pre and Post cruise nights there... Taxi is the best way to go and the cost is about $20 including your bag charges. There are lots of different bars and restaurants within walking distance, too.

The food and drinks were way out of line price wise, so we never purchased anything on property. The grounds are beautiful and the rooms are just so-so. Not really worth the price that they charge. We would stay at the Hotel Intercontinental if we were to go back again.

We also stayed there in October. Our room was great, not as nice as many other Ritz Carltons that we have stayed inm but nice. We had lunch down by the beach along with cocktails and enjoyed it. We had sushi at the hotel for dinner and it was very good. Afternoon cocktails were in the lobby lounge and we really enjoyed it there. Breakfast was room service and we really enjoyed this. Prices were normal for any of the Ritz Carltons.

We have stayed there several times before cruises but only for 1 night. Taxi is definitely the way to arrive and depart. Yes, the food is expensive, however, we live in a small town with no 5 star restaurants and The Vineyard? is incredible. We also love eating out by the pool/ocean and relaxing before boarding the ship. It is a beautiful setting.
