Stealing from the cruise ship

Luddite, that only works in America, not on International waters. I like the way the Saudi's do it better and just chop off a hand.

How about the thieves water ski behind the ship while the waters are chummed? Adults only please!

That's what I was thinking LMAO!!! There really is not much to steal on a cruise ship.........and it is not like you can run and jump in a car to get away......Dumb and Dumber comes to mind:D

LOL.....loved that movie!:D

Seriously, it's not the cruise line's property that I would be too concerned with, it would be MY stuff! I hate to hear the announcements that someone onboard has "lost" an item (cameras, wallets, etc.). Think back to the first time you saw cabin stewards cleaning cabins with multiple doors open....laptops, camera & video equipment, clothing, etc. all available to a sinister thief.

It also makes me wonder when luggage goes "lost" if perhaps a less than honest pax has made off with it. Just recently a couple were arrested in for stealing luggage at airport locations. Granted, this was in AZ, but imagine this couple on your cruise ship.:eek:

Often the theives will work in pairs for this in hotels. The housekeeper has the door propped open, someone stops him/her and asks for help with something and they turn their back for a minute or two. Meanwhile the accomplice grabs stuff in the open room. I'm a big believer in locking valuables in the safe and hiding anything else too big to go in the safe (like a laptop.) Most of these type crimes they are going for what is quickly accessible.

Here's a casino etiquette question. If you walk by an unattended slot machine with either credits to be played, or coins in the, uh, the thingy where the coins come out (it's early, and I'm only 1/3 the way into my first cup of coffee), what are the rules? Do you alert staff or do you wait and then play after a certain period of time?

I've seen this so many times. I'm assuming the original player was either drunk and oblivious or done playing and not aware they still had credits to play. I have taken out S&S cards and taken them to the cashier or floor supervisor but am curious about unattended machines.

(Should I have brought my popcorn popper?)

I have been in casino where attendants have pointed out to me credits or coins and suggested I play them.

Dear all,

I finished coming back from the Carnival Valor couple weeks ago. And I noticed my neighbor's was no longer on board after the 3rd day. When i asked the cabin steward what happened to them , he let me know that his wife was caught stealing in the Casino and he was caught stealing some where else on board the ship. (Perhaps the gift shop or photo dept , not too sure). Both where up to no good.

The authorities kicked them off the ship at the 1st port of call !

Do you think the ship did the right thing from getting rid of the bad

apples ? I want to hear your opinions .

Hell yes get rid of them! Carnival was right in kicking them off the ship. Was your cabin going to be next to get ripped off, and if so, would you want their butts kicked off as well? I'm just not getting this "touchy feely let them go crap." Aren't laws/rules there to protect us and aren't there consequences for breaking those rules? Enough people! Wait until you become a victim and see how pissed you get.

It's right they got booted off. Hope they were charged with theft as well, and put on a lifetime ban from the cruise line.

If they managed to steal from a cabin while the steward had his back turned or was distracted, he or she could be blamed for the theft and lose their job.

They should have been keel hauled first then set adrift in a blow up raft.

Inflated or deflated?

LOL....you guys crack me up!

If someone is stealing they deserve whatever charges are coming their way!

I wouldn't think that local authorities could charge them for something that happened at sea?

It's not technically stealing until they remove it from the ship probably. Like you can stick items in your pocket and walk around all day at Wal-Mart :D but you haven't stolen until you leave the store. Maybe it works the same way on the Wal-Mart of the Seas? :D

Are you Joking??? Should have they been kicked off the ship??? I think I now know why the country has gone down hill.

They have a jail on board so my vote is to let them sit in jail for the lenght of the cruise, be hit with a fine and charges ,oh and no special foods from the ship

When they leave Wal-Mart they have stolen, such as leaving a store on the ship, the casino, cabin etc - as soon as they are in proper areas then they have stolen. The ship itself is a mini city, they would not have to leave the city to be charged. In my opinion only. I like one posters idea of parading them around the Lido etc - they will get the attention they so obviously need.

Dumping them at a foreign port has serious monetary consequences. Taking them back to the departure point is no good.

Here's a thought. Before they get to the next port, where they get tossed off, make them spend a night in a hot-tub....after anyone who wishes to do so urinates into that tub. And then....send them a bill for cleaning the tub.

And, as they are trotted off, form a gauntlet of passengers who know how to behave and let let them taunt the theives.

You going to get Monty Python to help with that severe taunting?:D

Did he get his chip back? What did the staff do about it? Did they throw her off the ship? Don't leave us hanging like this

I agree with OP' date=' stealing is stealing wherever it's done.

Please tell us what happened........

Luv's Crusin'[/quote']

No, he could'nt proof it and its hard to accuse someone of stealing if you did'nt see them.
