Just back from Enchantment 4 night

For the price, this was a nice cruise. Food was OK to very good (like usual), drinks were STRONG (we really were thinking they were trying to get us drunk fast!), the ship was in good shape. Loved the new pool deck (since I was on in '99). Didn't go to any shows except the first night. Wanted to see the adult comedy the last night but the Spotlight Lounge was packed by the time we got there. Went to Chops and it was good. Hubby had to send back his Filet for being too well done and they had a better one within 5 minutes. Dessert was the best @ Chops. Mud Pie :) Omelets in the Windjammer were great. Service there has gone downhill IMO. My Swedish Massage was the perfect ending to a relaxing getaway. Our weather was perfect so that didn't hurt either! We went to Chankanaab in Cozumel and the snorkeling was great!! Got some great underwater HD video with our new Panasonic Lumix waterproof digital camera. All in all, a good time!

Good to hear. We leave on that ship Saturday. Did you find a particular bar or bartender to be desirable for the strong drinks? What was your drink of choice? Cheers.

The first day our drinks from the Oasis pool bar were potent! Loved the Elderflower Lemonade. The drink of the day was always strong, too. My husband ordered a Level One and lemonade from the Oasis pool bar and it was very strong. Can't remember names. They were all good! And compared to prices @ home, pretty good too. Have fun!

How was the beach at Chankanaab? Is it really rocky.....or is there sand that lead out in a shallow area.? Last time we were there was a long time ago and it was a drop off almost....very little shallow water to wade in....was more for snorkling....

Hi Joie,

There is no gradual beach into the snorkeling area. There are many sets of stairs, man-made and natural that lead into the reef area. It does "drop off" but the snorkeling is great. In some places, you can stand up for awhile if you want to. I wear fins or beach shoes when there at all times, otherwise your feet can get cut up or scraped. We like Chankanaab for the facilities- clean bathrooms, good bar service, decent food and the snorkeling. The hammocks down at the end were nice too! We bring our own snorkel stuff, so the cost is $14 if you use the cozumelinsider.com coupon. We printed that and shared it with our table-mates and we all got the discount. The cab ride from the international pier is $10 for up to 4 people. We tipped $2. We also bought some beers for $1.00 each at the pier and brought them in without a problem. We had a little water bottle cooler bag to put them in and that kept them cool for awhile. Otherwise a beer is $3 ea there and mixed drinks or daquiris were $5. We don't like to drink a lot when snorkeling, so a couple beers was plenty for us.

Thanks for the reply. We have a couple that do not swim so the deeper water right away is a problem. We love the park it is a very nice place....haven't seen it since the hurricane did all the damage.....so it must be even nicer now.
