BILL-WI, What kind of attendance did your Meet & Mingle have? Who attended from the Ship's Staff? Did you guys do a CC Room Crawl or a CC Bar Crawl? I'll be on the Mariner along with wolfganghowell this Sunday?

Are you two going to do a Review? Stan

What do you want to know??? I just got off the ship yesterday!

BILL

Bill : I just noticed your future cruises. I think that I may have actually heard you talking about your B2B on the Serenade while in the Dragon's Lair one night for drinks. Maybe?

We had about 35 people at the M&M.

The cruise director was there.

We did not do a CC bar crawl or room crawl.

The weather out of San Pedro was cool, so the first day was NOT a pool day for most.

Great ship, fantastic crew, and captain Johnny is one of the BEST!!!:D

Yep, you may have overheard us...we were in the lair all but one night and next up for us is a B2B in January.

We had a great time. We got lucky and saw a lot of whale activity while in Cabo! :D

Bill, Thanks for that quick heads up. I do have another question for you. Captain Johnny's morning "Wisdom of the Day". Did it sound like they were from a fortune cookies or were they from his inner deep Mariner's Wisdom? I'm just curious. I was planning to bring him some Chinese Fortune Cookies. I've been reading his book, "The Captain" and he is a very interesting or fascinating diverse person and I want to meet him. Stan

Sounded like he had told them many times, but they sounded as if they were his words!

BILL-WI-- Bill, my DW wants to know what Lounges had music for dancing and was Matt Yee still on board doing his "Sing-A-Long"? Stan

Sorry can not help you with either...in the evening we were in the Casino.

Boleros lounge had latin dancing most evenings but dance area is tiny and crowded. Lotus Lounge had ballroom dancing at various times each evening. Dragons Lair had techno/disco music. Matt Yee was not there during the last two cruises, piano bar had someone named Bill.

sbj317. Thank Sherri for your info. Reason for the dancing info, is DW had me take lessons:rolleyes: and she loves doing it. Stan

You are welcome. My husband and I have been taking lessons for a few years, we are not very good but we enjoy doing it!

Hi We are from Waukesha, WI area and we are going August 2010, how as the ship. Where did you stay in San Pedro, we are debating of staing at Crowne Plaza:)

We stayed at the Doubletree which was ok, about 10 min from the pier. The Crown Plaza is closer, you can actually see it from the ship. There are quite a few restaurants along the harbor that would be fairly close to the Crown Plaza.

Sherri :)

The Crowne Plaza is a great choice (as is the Doubletree) if you are only staying the one night before the cruise...(otherwise, consider staying in Santa Monica or elsewhere on the West Side or Universal City to be closer to tourist sites)...

The Crowne Plaza is in a great location for a one-night pre-cruise stay...It is in the heart of "Downtown" San Pedro with lots of good restaurant choices very close by...Within a block or so of the hotel, you have San Pedro Brewing Company (great menu), Papadakis (Greek), Green Onion (Mexican), Niko's (Italian)...and, down by the waterfront, Acapulco (Mexican)...and a few others...

You are very close to the pier (Can see the ship/pier if your room is on the right side of the hotel))...and the hotel will shuttle you for free to the pier in the morning...

Have fun...
