Altun Ha vs. Xunantunc

I've been to both and Xunantunich is the more interesting of the two.

I'll agree with Xunantunich. But many cruisers do enjoy the River Wallace boat ride portion of the excursion to Altin Ha over the long bus ride to Xunantunich.

Which one do you think would be more interesting for 4 and 7 year old boys? Thanks!!

 

Altun Ha if doing the River Wallace route. Much more interesting than the longer bus ride to Xunantunich. Possibility of seeing gators and other wildlife. It would be a struggle for them to climb up to the top of the temple at Xunantunich. Xunantunich's little hand cranked ferry across the river is kind of interesting but only a very short part of the tour.
