mckalst Posted December 3, 2009 #1 Share Posted December 3, 2009 Hi were going on the Destiny in March and wondered what is the best deck to be on? we are on deck 3 has anyone been on this? xx
smiffy1951 Posted December 3, 2009 #2 Share Posted December 3, 2009 Hi mckalst Haven't been on Deck 3 but from what I understand the cabins are the same size on Deck 3 as they are on Decks 4 and 5 (but cheaper). I think they may start getting bigger from Deck 6 upwards but the they are more expensive. We have been on Deck 5 but for March 2011 we have booked a deck 3 since it's not worth paying the extra money for a higher deck if they are the same size. We always have an outside cabin as we like the natural light. Hope this helps a bit. Janet
steelerannie Posted December 3, 2009 #3 Share Posted December 3, 2009 We were on deck 3 in June this year and have rebooked for January on the same deck. We only have an inside cabin as we don't use it during the day. We only sleep, shower and change in there. We don't spend a great deal of time in it. Same here - been on Deck 3 twice and found the cabin perfectly ok for what we need; somewhere to change, shower and sleep.

smiffy1951 Posted December 10, 2009 #6 Share Posted December 10, 2009 Hi cannockfrodo You can sunbathe at the front of the ship up on the deck above the swimming pools and sort of behind the bar. Not many children go up there as there is nothing there for them to do. There are plenty of sun loungers there, although it does get busy and the loungers do tend to get quite close to each other. Most of the children would be around the pool area. Janet
cannockfrodo Posted December 10, 2009 #7 Share Posted December 10, 2009 Ta, we endured Xmas Day on OV2 round the pool (next to Santa's grotto) before we found the aft sundecks. Didn't want a repeat.
