Suburbanette Posted December 6, 2009 #1 Share Posted December 6, 2009 Does anyone know why the Spirit is (apparently) returning to San Diego? It left at 5-ish this evening and is back in the harbor now, just 2 hours later, headed back towards the pier.
mapman_2004 Posted December 6, 2009 #2 Share Posted December 6, 2009 Looks like it just backed out. That was quick! Who was the VIP they forgot?
Suburbanette Posted December 6, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted December 6, 2009 I posted the same question to the Roll Call thread for this cruise and here's what I learned from another poster: (The conversation starts at post # 323) http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=907050&page=17 Essentially, it appears to have been a medical situation. The ship just departed the pier moments ago.

matj2000 Posted December 6, 2009 #5 Share Posted December 6, 2009 Let me guess. An Overweight, Non-compliaint, diabetic, smoker, with having chest pains???
Chacooe Posted December 6, 2009 #6 Share Posted December 6, 2009 Let me guess. An Overweight, Non-compliaint, diabetic, smoker, with having chest pains??? Not always, when I was on the Pride last year someone fell and broke an ankle and had to be taken off the ship in Cabo, so it could be for any reason. Justl like the Captain of the Splendor last week had a heart attack, and by the way, he is not overweight or a smoker.
