tipper1 Posted December 11, 2009 #26 Share Posted December 11, 2009 We are scheduled to go on the Christmas Cruise and we have 4 children ranging in age drom 9-19. How strict were the formal nights. Hard to get the kids (and myself) to wear suits. We would like to feel comfortable but not out of "style" New to cruising.

SheilaB Posted December 16, 2009 #28 Share Posted December 16, 2009 Tipper1 - I was on a 2 day on the Oasis, so that may not be very indicative of what will happen on a 7 day cruise, but I found the formal night attire to be pretty much in line with other RCL cruises I have been on. There were a few men in tuxes, lots in suits, quite a few in sports jackets and the rest were a mix of shirt and tie or just a dress shirt. I am sure that the majority of men will be wearing ties, but if you don't mind being in the minority I doubt they will be that strict and not let people in to the dining room that were just dressed in a nice shirt and dress pants. ALW2 Posted December 17, 2009 #29 Share Posted December 17, 2009 Sounds like you are having fun on your cruise. Are the Royal or WOW phone available for rental yet??? Who is the "star" headliner aboard the ship? We sail away in a few days.
Cruise Gopher Posted December 17, 2009 Author #30 Share Posted December 17, 2009 The thermal suite is available for $30 for a day pass or $150 for a weekly pass. Crown and Anchor coupon books were put in our cabin before we boarded.
