Why the Solstice inside stateroom size variance?

Ocean view staterooms are 177 square feet. Veranda staterooms are 194 square feet (with a 54 square foot balcony). Why do inside staterooms vary between 183 and 200 square feet?

The only reason I can think of is, if you look at the deck plans, some inside staterooms are positioned up and down, while most are positioned side to side (if my wording makes sense).

Is that the reason? If so, then which is the larger of the two? Thanks!
