DistantDreamz Posted December 16, 2009 #1 Share Posted December 16, 2009 We are going to be in Limon on the 31st Januay 2010 on the Celebrity Equinox. Just wondering if anybody has rented a taxi driver for the day in Limon...will probably be for the best part of 8-9 hours...to take us where we want, with flexibility to choose how long for...any prices and info would be appreciated. sunsetbeachgal Posted December 17, 2009 #2 Share Posted December 17, 2009 I would start with e-mailing Oscar Brown tours with yoru question and see how they respond and the price quoted-this company has several drivers/guides and they seemed to have vehicles of different sizes available. There were alot of taxi drivers looking for business just outside the pier area when we were there in November, but I am more comfortable with using someone who has been recommended on these boards. Snorkel2Much Posted December 19, 2009 #3 Share Posted December 19, 2009 Danilo Hall gave our group a truly incredible tour, and very reasonably priced. You can email him here: adventure_caribbean@yahoo.com
kdoodle22 Posted December 19, 2009 #4 Share Posted December 19, 2009 Danilo Hall did a great job with our group, also. We were in Costa Rica over Thanksgiving week and 19 of us did a tour with Danilo. He was wonderful. Most of us went ziplining at Cedar Valley. Then he took us to a beach and he even barbecued lunch for us. He also took us to a roadside fruit stand and we got to try whatever we wanted at no extra cost. We got to see howler monkeys and sloths. The cost of the tour for those of us who ziplined was $65.00. Danilo only charged $25.00 for those who didn't zipline. We were with Danilo for 6 - 7 hours. He was a very kind and funny guy. I highly recommend him. Kim :)
bchbum641 Posted January 2, 2010 #5 Share Posted January 2, 2010 Was the zip lining good? The one I've looked at was at jungle breezes.

buckeyecruisers Posted January 21, 2010 #7 Share Posted January 21, 2010 We would recommend Ricky Ricardo tours. We and another couple spent a day with him including the rain forest, a zip line trip, some shopping, the monkeys, and a stop at a location to try sugar cane juice the locals called "******". Ricky will do whatever you like and he only charged $25.00 per person. Also we left a camera in his van, we didn't realize it until we were back onboard the ship. We called him and he could not get to the ship before departure, so he shipped it to our home address and has kept in touch to make sure we got it. His email is rickyricardotours@yahoo.com.
