Any booze drinkers (buyers) in Florida?

We are from NH - the Live Free or Die State where we have State run liquor stores and relatively cheap booze. We will be flying down to Tampa (spending a few days in Kissimmee) and then going on the Legend. Not that I am considering smuggling or have just ordered rum runners or anything that would upset anyone - and yes I know I can order a bottle from Carnival to have in my room - but I am interested in whether it is worth it to bring most of the booze in my bags on the plane. Price of Tangueray 1.75L here is about $28.00 / Captain Morgan Pineapple 750ml is about $10.00.

 

I have heard alot of rumors about Florida liquor prices. Will I be in sticker shock? Is it worth loading the rum runners here or waiting until I get there?

You won't be in sticker shock if you go to Total Wine & Spirits or ABC Liquor. You might pay a couple of dollars more than you are used to, at the most. You might find higher prices in small neighborhood/resort area liquor stores, but the chains have competitive pricing.

Hi there, we're also from NH........Lebanon area. We dont' bring our

booze in our checked luggage because of the weight limit. Have sailed

from Florida many times and do not think that the liquor prices are all

that bad. We usually stay at a hotel within walking distance from a

store.

 

We had a great time on the Legend!!! Hope you enjoy your cruise.
